Meet the maker, Ewan Cameron. 

Behind Timber Grooves is maker Ewan Cameron, working from his Margaret River workshop to create handcrafted furniture, signage and bespoke pieces with character.

At the heart of Ewan’s work is an appreciation for beautiful timber, thoughtful design and the process of making something by hand. Working with Australian and locally sourced timbers, he allows the natural grain, texture and individuality of the material to become part of each finished piece.

Made a Little Differently

No two pieces of timber are quite the same — and that individuality carries through to the way Ewan works.

From custom furniture and statement dining tables to signage, surfboard racks, homewares and commercial projects, Timber Grooves is not limited by a catalogue or a particular style. Many projects begin simply with an idea, followed by a conversation about how it could look, feel and function.

While timber sits at the heart of the workshop, Ewan also works with metal, acrylic, resin and other materials, bringing together different textures and techniques to create pieces that are both functional and distinctive.

Timber Grooves is proudly based in the Margaret River region of Western Australia, with a hands-on approach that reflects the place it calls home.

There’s an honesty to knowing where something has come from, who made it and the materials that went into it. It’s why Ewan favours quality over quantity and character over perfection, creating pieces designed not simply to fill a space, but to become part of it.
